As you may be aware, we have scheduled our Annual Imams’ Conference for this weekend (October 7-9) in Raleigh, NC. However, due to the approaching HURRICANE ANDREW, a number of Imams along the projected impact areas of the East coast have expressed concern over their ability to safely travel and participate in the conference due to the extreme emergency weather and travel conditions. Since the safety and well-being of all conference participants and residents of the affected areas is of the utmost importance, the Conveners of Imams have taken shuraa and decided that it is in the best interest of all involved to RESCHEDULE THE CONFERENCE UNTIL the weekend of OCTOBER 28-30!
We have worked with both the event venue and hotel to secure conference and room accommodations at the same rates for the rescheduled days indicated above. As a result, we strongly advise the following:
We apologize for any inconvenience as a result of these emergency circumstances. We further thank you for your patience and understanding in this exceptional situation. We also pray that for the safety of all of those that may be adversely impacted by the extreme weather conditions produced by the hurricane.
As developments occur with the rescheduled conference agenda, we will keep everyone informed. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact your Section Convener.
